A community is in deep sorrow following the untimely passing of a beloved beauty queen, who tragically lost her life at just 21 years old.
Eleisha Skinner, crowned as Miss Faversham 2022, was admired not only for her beauty but also for her warm personality and captivating smile that lit up the lives of those around her.
In an official announcement issued today, the Faversham Carnival Club expressed their profound sadness: "It is with great regret that we inform you of the passing of our dear Miss Faversham 2022, Eleisha Skinner, who died on January 8 due to a tragic accident."
While specific details surrounding the incident remain undisclosed, her family has initiated a fundraiser to support the Thames Valley Air Ambulance service, which operates across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. This initiative highlights the critical role that emergency services play in such unfortunate situations.
The club further shared: "Eleisha was an exceptional representative for Faversham and a truly delightful person. We all cherish the wonderful memories we created with her during her time with us."
Numerous heartfelt tributes have flooded social media, reflecting the impact Eleisha had on her community. Caroline Kyaba remembered her as "a beautiful soul with an infectious smile," emphasizing her love for her family. "I recall her sharing joyful moments about her brother’s army graduation, showcasing the pride and confidence she had in him," Kyaba remarked.
Chanelle Lawrence added a poignant note, saying, "It always seems that the brightest stars leave us too soon. You were the heart of the carnival, and I will forever treasure the moments we shared over the years."
In memory of Eleisha, a GoFundMe campaign has been established, aiming to raise funds for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, which the family described as "fantastic" in their time of need.
"Thanks to the remarkable efforts of the emergency services, we were able to spend Eleisha's final days surrounded by love," they mentioned.
To date, nearly £2,000 has been collected, with many individuals contributing in honor of the young woman who touched so many lives.
A celebration of Eleisha’s life is scheduled for Friday, February 6, at 2:30 PM, taking place at St Mary of Charity Church in Faversham, followed by a gathering at Judd’s Folly to commemorate her legacy.
