In a stunning display during the first half, Conor Chaplin finally broke his 23-match goal drought by executing a beautifully struck left-footed shot after receiving a pass from Millenic Alli right in front of the passionate Fratton End supporters. It was a much-awaited goal that brought relief and joy to the fans.
Just 25 minutes into the game, Alli showcased his talent by seamlessly collecting a brilliant pass from Andre Dozzell, which he converted into a second goal with a powerful right-footed shot that slipped past goalkeeper Max O’Leary.
