The Mission:

Your Role:
As the Director of Programs, you will be a key strategic leader within YCJF. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our programmatic vision is bold, coherent, and responsive to the needs of youth leaders at the forefront of climate justice. You will connect the dots between strategy, learning, and movement alignment, driving our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Guide and align our grant-making and capacity-strengthening programs, ensuring they are agile yet focused.
- Support Core Programs: Accompany and support our grant and capacity teams, ensuring our values and long-term strategy are at the heart of our daily work.
- Cross-Movement Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with youth movements and allies across various justice spaces. Identify trends and opportunities to inform our strategy.
- Governance & Long-Term Strategy: Collaborate with our leadership to shape our long-term program strategy, ensuring we remain accountable to our principles of equity and care.
- Learning & Reflection: Partner with our MEL team to embed learning and adaptive practices, balancing evidence with lived experiences.

Candidate Profile:
- Essential: At least 7 years of experience in program leadership, grant-making, or capacity-building. A proven track record of connecting strategic vision with program implementation.
- Desirable: Experience with intermediary funds or youth-led initiatives. A deep understanding of feminist, Indigenous, and frontline movement spaces.
