The final round of the Final Stage at TPC Sawgrass' Dye's Valley Course was a nail-biter, with a tightly packed leaderboard. Wu and Ben Silverman finished in a tie for fifth place, 11-under after 72 holes, setting the stage for an exciting playoff.
This year's format introduced a unique twist: in the event of a tie for the fifth and final qualifier, a hole-by-hole playoff would determine the champion. This departure from previous years, where ties were awarded TOUR membership, added an extra layer of drama.
The playoff took place on the 18th hole, a challenging par 4 with water hazards on the left, reminiscent of the iconic 18th hole at the adjacent Pete Dye Stadium Course. Wu and Silverman repeated this hole until the top five players were decided.
